MoJu AI ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our AI interview preparation and authorized assistance platform ("Service").

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address, name, and password (for account creation). Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors; we do not store card details.

Profile Information (Optional)

Resume/CV content, job descriptions you upload, career preferences and target roles.

Session Data (Mode 1 — Preparation)

Mock interview transcripts and responses, practice question interactions, performance analytics and improvement suggestions.

Session Data (Mode 2 — Authorized Live Assistance)

Real-time audio transcription (processed in real-time; not retained by default), AI-generated answer suggestions (not retained after session), session metadata (duration, timestamp, interview platform used). Screen capture and video recording are NOT processed or retained by MoJu.

Technical Data

IP address, device information, browser type, operating system, usage analytics (pages visited, features used, session duration), error logs and crash reports.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: Process interview data, generate AI suggestions, deliver mock interviews, analyze resumes. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Process payments: Handle subscription payments through third-party processors. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Improve AI models: Only with your explicit opt-in consent. Legal basis: consent.
  • Customer support: Respond to inquiries and resolve issues. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Security and fraud prevention: Detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, and fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Legal compliance: Respond to valid legal process and comply with applicable laws. Legal basis: legal obligation.

3. Data Minimization

  • We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the Service.
  • Interview session data is processed in real-time and deleted after the session ends unless you explicitly choose to save it.
  • We do not retain audio recordings, screen captures, or video from interview sessions.
  • We do not use your interview data, transcripts, or interactions to train AI models unless you provide explicit opt-in consent.
  • We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following categories of recipients:

  • AI service providers (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) — for real-time processing of interview data. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
  • Payment processors — for handling subscription payments.
  • Analytics providers — for aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
  • Law enforcement — when required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, government request).

We do NOT share your data with: employers or recruiters (unless you explicitly authorize it), other users, advertising networks, or data brokers.

5. Recording and Monitoring

MoJu AI may process audio, screen, and transcription data during active sessions to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for obtaining all legally required consents from all parties before using any recording or transcription feature.

  • MoJu AI does not verify whether consent has been obtained and assumes no responsibility for recording conducted without proper authorization.
  • If you use the Service during a video call or on an assessment platform, your use may be subject to that platform's terms of service and privacy policy. MoJu AI is not responsible for any data collected by third-party platforms or any consequences arising from platform policy violations.

6. Data Retention

  • Session data: By default, transcript data is retained for 30 days to allow you to review and save sessions. Audio and screen data is NOT retained after the session ends.
  • Account data: Retained until you request deletion.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.
  • Analytics data: Retained in anonymized/aggregated form indefinitely.
  • You may request deletion of all personal data at any time by contacting privacy@moju-ai.com. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable law (DPDPA 2023, GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability — Request your data in a portable format.
  • Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., AI model training) at any time.
  • Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Data Security

  • We implement industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security audits.
  • While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

  • Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
  • For EU/UK users: Data transfers outside the EEA/UK are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission/UK ICO.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete all associated data.

11. Cookies and Tracking

  • We use essential cookies for Service functionality.
  • We use analytics cookies only with your consent.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
